How do I get all of my locks keyed alike when placing an order?

As long as all keyed locks are purchased from Inside Out Hardware on the same order, we will automatically key them alike for free.

I already have a lock with a Kwikset keyway installed and would like a new lock keyed to match my existing key. How can I have this done?

Kwikset is the most common residential lock keyway used in US homes. We will need a copy of your existing key. Please place your order, then email us immediately at support@insideouthardware.com so we can place the order on hold and provide instructions for sending in your key.

Can I send you a lock I previously purchased and have it keyed to match my new order?

Yes, as long as the lock has a Kwikset keyway and you have the original key. Locks purchased on your current Inside Out Hardware order will be keyed alike for free at the time of purchase. Re-keying a lock not purchased from us or not part of the current order is not included in the free keying service. A $5.00 per lock re-keying charge will apply.

How many keys will come with my order?

The number of keys included depends on the exact items ordered. If you need a key count before placing your order, email your item list to support@insideouthardware.com with any important order details so we can give you the most accurate answer.

I would like some items keyed to one key and others keyed to a different key. How do I arrange this?

Place your order and email us immediately at support@insideouthardware.com with your order number and clear instructions for how the locks should be grouped. This type of request is free when locks are purchased on the same order, but we must receive clear instructions before the order is processed.

I need master keying for an apartment complex, hotel, motel, office building, or similar project. Is this free?

Master keying is not included in our free keying service. Please email your project details and item list to support@insideouthardware.com so we can review the request and provide a custom quote.
